This beanie is a mixture of playfulness and tradition.  It is a snug fit, and made of traditional shetland wool from Lerwick, Scotland.   It just covers the ears and does not fold at the rib.   It will fit up to a 62 cm head and is 25 cm long.   
 
This hat was hand knit in Tokyo, on bamboo pins
